Lares Rebuild Process Includes:

• Pump is thoroughly cleaned and exterior surfaces reconditioned for like-new look
• Each component is carefully inspected and replaced if not to OE tolerances
• All seals and O-rings are replaced with OE equivalent parts
• Each unit is tested to ensure OE performance
• Painted with a high quality paint

Installation Tips

• Replace Power Steering Pressure and Return Hoses when replacing the power steering pump. Steering hoses can degrade internally and cause contamination in the power steering system, which can damage the new power steering pump
• Where applicable, replace the Power Steering Reservoir or clean the internal filter
• Completely flush the system with an OE approved Power Steering Fluid prior to installation (the correct type of fluid is noted on the reservoir cap or in your owner's manual). Flushing the system is critical to prevent system contamination and failure
• Consider replacing the Belt (found in the Belt Drive category). Modern belts wear gradually and become less efficient, which can put strain on the Power Steering Pump and other belt driven components
• Install the pump and all supplied o-ring seals according to installation instructions, to prevent leaking
• Consider installing a Power Steering Filter on the Power Steering Return Hose to prevent system contamination and extend the life of the power steering components
• A replacement Power Steering Pump can whine or make noise until air is purged from the fluid. Bleed the system during installation to prevent noise and extend the life of the steering components
